Descience's Julianne Gauron Moderates STEAM Panel
As part of the Cambridge Science Festival this week, Descience's Design Strategy Lead Julianne Guaron moderates A STEAM Conversation: Learning through the Lens of Art & Science and Sculptures in Motion held at Lesley University College of Art and Design, Cambridge. This 2nd annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Conversation is a collaboration between Catalyst Conversation (CC) and the Cambridge Creativity Commons (CCC). Julianne joined our 2014 Descience winners Dr. Laura Indolfi and Designer Carlos Villamil of team Cytocouture for a panel and workshop exploring the fusion between the arts and sciences. The event featured a hands-on workshop run by the CCC that used kinetic sculpture created from recycled materials, where event participants could themselves explore and apply the intersection of design & science.
